Job Description

• Participate/Lead in Consumer / Retail Banking risk-based audits, including retail risk management audits covering Basel II / III frameworks, i.e. Basel-related projects / IRBA models implemented within the Bank to ensure they are fit for purpose.
• Perform audits and possess comprehensive understanding of Consumer / Retail Banking business, products, and key end-to-end processes, as well as the Digital Banking segment.
• Well-versed in assessing business risks and controls, and is expected to recommend practical, business-focused solutions to improve risk management practices, as well as play an advisory role as a subject matter expert.
• Participate and help drive the adoption of data analytics, Gen AI, and other digital tools to increase audit effectiveness and efficiency.
• Leveraging on data analytics, MIS, reporting tools and Excel / SAS / SQL / Python, to identify early warning triggers and support ongoing risk monitoring.
• Carry out effective engagements with senior management and relevant stakeholders, including communicating audit issues confidently with Business Unit senior management.
• Excellent communication skills in order to influence a wide range of stakeholders, with the ability to carry out effective negotiations where required.
• Demonstrate sound judgement, political astuteness and sensitivity to cultural diversity.

Job Requirements

• A recognized degree, with minimum 15 years of relevant working experience.
• Competency and strong understanding of retail risk management processes which include Basel II / III frameworks. Participation in Basel-related projects and IRBA models would be an advantage.
• Knowledgeable about general banking risk, processes and controls, with a specific focus on Consumer / Retail Banking related products. Hands-on experience in risk management, portfolio management or data modelling is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; hands-on experience in SAS, SQL, R or Python is an advantage.
• Technology and data savvy, with strong aptitude and interest to learn and apply data analytics and visualization tools.
• Presents oneself confidently and professionally.
• Hold relevant AICB certifications (e.g. BKA, Credit); other banking-related certifications would be an advantage.
