Staff Accountant

A well-established, publicly traded organization is seeking a Staff Accountant - Cash Management to join its growing accounting team. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys cash operations, reconciliations, and working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, process-driven environment.

This position offers strong visibility within the accounting function, meaningful collaboration with regional finance teams, and long-term career growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and approve daily cash deposit postings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
• Verify deposits have proper documentation and audit trails
• Partner with operational teams to investigate and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
• Ensure intercompany cash transactions are properly recorded and reconciled
• Research and clear unapplied intercompany payments
• Address cash-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
• Monitor outstanding and voided checks, ensuring timely resolution
• Maintain detailed daily activity documentation for internal tracking
• Generate and analyze reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and process improvement opportunities

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required)
• Prior experience in cash management, treasury, or cash application preferred
• Experience with Blackline highly preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to independently research issues across multiple systems
• Experience with electronic remittance processing and cash posting systems is a plus
