Description
Key Responsibilities- Own and deepen C-suite relationships (CIO, CRO, Treasurer) across a portfolio of Tier 1 and regional insurers in APAC
- Originate and execute Capital Markets and Global Markets revenue: derivatives and cash solutions across Rates, FX, Credit, repos, structured hedging, ECM, DCM, and portfolio overlay strategies
- Deliver strategic advisory on asset-liability management (ALM), capital efficiency, regulatory-driven portfolio shifts, and yield enhancement
- Lead cross-product coordination with trading, structuring, sales, and balance sheet teams to deliver tailored solutions
- Drive wallet share growth through proactive idea generation, thematic positioning, and disciplined pipeline management
- Navigate regional regulations (e.g., RBC regimes, IFRS 17 implications, solvency frameworks) impacting insurer investment strategies
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to broader APAC insurance coverage strategy
Candidate Profile
- 12-18+ years' experience in banking or global markets sales/coverage, with a proven track record covering insurance clients in APAC
- Deep understanding of insurer balance sheets, ALM, duration/convexity needs, and capital constraints
- Strong product knowledge across Rates and FX derivatives, credit markets, and structured solutions; ability to translate complexity into client value
- Established regional client network and credibility with senior stakeholders
- Commercially driven with demonstrated revenue ownership and growth
- Excellent stakeholder management; able to mobilize internal resources and influence across functions
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced qualifications (CFA, MBA) a plus
