Our client is an award-winning Private Equity firm with an impressive track record of performance. With offices in London and New York (and 11 other offices globally), the company has an excellent reputation in the market and has been a growth story. Their Finance function are now recruiting for a fully-qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) Senior Financial Accountant to take responsibility for the main UK non-regulated entity, and assist with the audit of various international entities.

The company offers hybrid working (3 days in the office and 2 from home) along with a positive working environment and collaborative/friendly team.

Profile Criteria:

1. 1. Fully Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) candidate with a university degree
   2. Accounting experience ideally from the investment management, financial services or banking sectors
   3. Min. 3+ years of post-qualification experience
   4. Well-rounded accounting skills covering statutory accounts production, hands-on involvement with core month-end processes, experience assisting with the audit, etc.
   5. Excellent communication skills and a social personality

Responsibilities / Tasks:

• • Monthly accounts: Taking ownership of the end-to-end preparation of monthly accounts for the main UK non-regulated entity.
  • Year-end accounts and annual audit: Being the main contact for year-end accounts and audit for the main UK non-regulated entity. This involves preparation of year-end accounts, audit schedules and working with external auditors to get the audit completed. Reviewing and assisting with the audits of international entities as required.
  • Taxation & Compliance: Preparation of VAT return, support with Corporation Tax returns, ONS reports, and other ad hoc tax matters.
  • Strategic projects and transformation: Providing support with broader finance transformation activities and initiatives.

The successful candidate will play an important and integral role in the ongoing development of the Finance function to support the continued growth of the business, reporting to the Financial Controller. The role will be based in central London.

Candidate Specification:

• • Degree educated (2:1 or higher) or equivalent
  • Min. 3+ years post qualified experience with a professional accounting qualification
  • Min. 6-7+ years of experience in similar role within financial or professional services
  • Advanced Excel and modelling skills (vlookups, pivot tables)
  • Highly organised and efficient self-starter, ability to multitask and prioritise own workload
  • Team player with a high level of integrity, a positive "can-do" attitude, and an eagerness to learn and help other members of the team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proactive with hands on attitude and ability to work independently
  • Works well under pressure and to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of accounting software (Sage 50 / QuickBooks / Other)
