Hays have partnered exclusively with a Services-based organisation in Dubai who are looking to recruit a fluent Italian or French-speaking Financial Accountant.

This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with international accounting standards, and supporting the finance function across multiple jurisdictions. The candidate must be bilingual in English and either French or Italian.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and company policies.
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Support external audits, regulatory filings, and compliance requirements across multiple countries.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and oversee depreciation schedules.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Review and reconcile intercompany transactions and ensure proper documentation.
• Monitor financial controls and recommend improvements to strengthen internal processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy and alignment.
• Provide financial insights and analysis to support decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements in relevant jurisdictions.

You must meet the following criteria to be considered:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is essential
• Chartered Accountant (ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is preferred
• 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally with exposure to working in Europe.
• Background working within service-based industries, including ecommerce, technology, fintech or similar.
• Bilingual proficiency: English is a must plus either French or Italian.
• Ability to travel visa-free within Europe.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and European accounting practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
