We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to lead the financial operations of our insulation wholesale distribution company in Dallas, Texas. This role is essential in managing accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, and maintaining strong internal controls. The ideal candidate will also play a strategic role in budgeting, forecasting, and supporting the company's long-term financial health.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare comprehensive financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Conduct detailed analysis of financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities to enhance performance.
• Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and inventory accounting.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations, including tax requirements.
• Lead the budgeting process and monitor financial performance, providing variance analysis and actionable insights.
• Establish and maintain internal control systems to safeguard company assets and ensure operational efficiency.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of growth and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with external auditors, managing audit processes and ensuring timely completion.
• Collaborate with IT and operations teams to enhance financial systems and ensure accurate data integration.
• Manage employee records, benefits programs, and personnel matters in coordination with company leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in wholesale distribution or manufacturing.
• Advanced knowledge of financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting software, with expertise in QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise strongly preferred.
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
• Experience in inventory management and cost accounting.
• Familiarity with the insulation or building materials industry is a plus.
