Description
DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Controller to oversee and enhance the financial operations of our organization in Dallas, Texas. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong background in financial management, compliance, and team leadership. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial processes and fostering a collaborative accounting environment.
Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and monitor financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard the organization's assets.
• Provide detailed financial updates to management by analyzing and presenting relevant data effectively.
• Track and evaluate financial and operational budgets, ensuring compliance with reporting standards on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and performance metrics for both branch and holding company levels.
• Support the development of short- and long-term financial and operational strategies.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team to promote an environment of trust, collaboration, and productivity.
• Oversee general accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions, providing guidance and performance monitoring for team members.
• Manage the annual financial audit process and ensure compliance with corporate tax requirements.
• Supervise month-end close processes, including account reconciliations, payroll, tax compliance, and expense reporting.
• Oversee treasury functions such as cash management, forecasting, and bank account maintenance, including initiating cash transfers within authority limits.
Requirements
• Proven experience in financial management, including the development and enforcement of financial policies and procedures.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to prepare and analyze financial statements and budgets effectively.
• Experience in leading and mentoring accounting teams to achieve high performance.
• Proficiency in handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting functions.
• Familiarity with audit processes and corporate tax compliance.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing month-end and year-end financial processes.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills for presenting financial data to stakeholders.
