Our Los Angeles-based nonprofit is seeking an Assistant Controller to support financial reporting, audits, and key accounting operations.

What You'll Do

• Support GAAP financial statements, audits, and Form 990 prep

• Oversee AP, 1099s, and regulatory filings (property tax, escheat, etc.)

• Manage month-end close, GL reconciliations, and financial statement reviews

• Ensure proper revenue recognition (ASC 606) and donor-system integrations

• Track endowment activity and lead balance sheet analyses

• Improve processes and support automation initiatives

What We're Looking For

• BA in Accounting; CPA preferred

• 4+ years nonprofit accounting experience

• Strong GAAP, audit, and revenue recognition knowledge

Background in working with pledges and donations

• Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work independently

• Hybrid schedule (Los Angeles)
